Description

Hello, keep up the great work with Paludis.

I just synced my Gentoo Portage tree using paludis. My current kde4-base.eclass revision is 1.34, which has "Rewritten slot handling with simpler code."

 http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/eclass/kde4-base.eclass?rev=1.34&view=markup

The problem is that now paludis reports the warning "Slot dependencies not safe for use here" for a lot of KDE packages.

Please keep an eye on  https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=265995

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Type changed from discussion to ebuild-defect
  • Resolution set to upstream

Because they are. Slot deps aren't legal in EAPI 0.

I'm getting the same thing here. Is there anything to do to fix this? Is there an upstream bug somewhere? the gentoo bug is marked as INVALID.

Hello yhager, the upstream bug is the same Gentoo bug you refer to. You did not read the comments to that bug; all you have to do is to sync again. That's why the bug is invalid.
