Description

Recently I was creating sets for kde-4.2 for paludis and it seems paludis doesn't like . in the name.

/usr/bin/paludis@1225049604: [WARNING e.sets.failure] (same context) Skipping set '/var/paludis/repositories/kde4-crazy/sets/kde-4.2.conf' due to exception 'Name 'kde-4.2' is not a valid set' (paludis::SetNameError?) /usr/bin/paludis@1225049604: [WARNING e.sets.failure] (same context) Skipping set '/var/paludis/repositories/kde4-crazy/sets/kdeaccessibility-4.2.conf' due to exception 'Name 'kdeaccessibility-4.2' is not a valid set' (paludis::SetNameError?) /usr/bin/paludis@1225049604: [WARNING e.sets.failure] (same context) Skipping set '/var/paludis/repositories/kde4-crazy/sets/kdeadmin-4.2.conf' due to exception 'Name 'kdeadmin-4.2' is not a valid set' (paludis::SetNameError?) ... (same error for all sets)

after changing set names from kde*-4.2.conf to kde*-42.conf it works.

Not sure if I should mark it as feature request or as a bug.

This is intentional. We're keeping the set of allowed characters small so we can use punctuation for new features later on.
